After a successful career as an air traffic controller in the FAA, Cindy found that she wasn’t ready to retire. Her son, Grayson, had just moved back to Georgia and settled in Newnan. He was still searching for his next step, and she wanted to help him.

After talking to friends who had an ice cream shop and absolutely loved the business, they decided an ice cream store might be a solution.

Once the idea started to take flight, they decided to go to the best ice cream stores all over the country (strictly for research, of course!)

From San Francisco to Washington DC to Cleveland to Florida, they tasted and experienced all types of ice cream, and watched so many methods of making it.

They realized that there were so many different and wonderful flavors and types, but what really made ice cream great was the hard work and ingredients put into it.

With that in mind, they decided to make their ice cream from grass fed milk and cream, and ingredients that are organic or all natural. They always use real fruit and the best cocoa. They never use artificial colors or flavors.

They did everything from scratch, working hard day and night to serve something they are poud of. Thus, Rock Salt Milk Bar was born!
